Let us bid farewell to Luomo! Until May 11, Luomo can be visited at its current address, but then the doors will be closed.

This is not a funeral. Luomo is mightier than ever before. The restaurant can be seen again in June. At a new address in Kauppatori. And most importantly – it will be considerably bigger, as a bistro will also be opened next to the restaurant.
Peaking in through the kitchen window of restaurant Luomo Vironkatu, one can see Jouni Toivanen and his supporting forces. Those supporting forces speak in several different languages. This is how it has to be, because in this kitchen, they are cooking under the slogan Global&Local.
Only one menu at a time is offered at Luomo. Diners can choose three (€ 55), five (€ 72) or all seven (€ 87) dishes. And appropriate wine packages to go with them are served, priced at € 35, 59 and 79.
Eating at Luomo is simple. Luomo is a small and simple restaurant. Only the star given by Michelin makes it much more important.
The dishes at Luomo are interesting. Often, even the name of the dish fails to reveal much about what will be served on the plate. This dish here is the Japanese sea!
At Luomo, food is prepared by taking it apart and putting it back together. On this plate, we have Quail & Foie. The foie gras or goose liver has been “taken apart” and then “put together” as cold brownish snow.
Xoco & Flowers. Chocolate, rose sorbet and rhubarb mousse.
It can be predicted that Luomo will have a bright future at the new address as well.

TOP 50 OF ESTONIAN RESTAURANTS

This ranking is born out of the votes of the key employees of various Estonian restaurants. Each voter compiles a personal list of 7 restaurants that he or she thinks are the best in Estonia. The voters must have visited these places and the list cannot include the voters’ employers or restaurants related to their personal property. 

The restaurants that have been included in someone’s top 7 are invited to cast their votes as well. Each restaurant can appoint up to three of their most important employees as their voters: one member from the management team, one member from the kitchen staff and one member from the service staff. 

Taking part in the voting is strictly voluntary, not obligatory. The top 50 of Estonian restaurants is made up of restaurants that win the greatest number of votes.
