November Is Pork Month
In November last year, we celebrated Baltic Herring Month. This November, however, is Pork Month. Compared to the last year, there are several changes. A Pork Month special menu is created at a total of twenty-four dining places in Tallinn, Tartu and the immediate vicinity of both towns.
For the first time, pubs too, in addition to restaurants, are going to take part in the preparation of good food. There are not many of them, but what matters is not the number of participants, but the fact that the triumph of good food has reached pubs as well. Hopefully, there is no turning back.
Visiting twenty-four dining places and eating a total of fifty-five dishes in them within a month is certainly beyond all abilities and means. But a small group of food journalists and bloggers has accomplished that feat. The result is a special issue of the Flavours of Estonia e-zine, which can be read here.
